Covid-19 Cases in VA go up by almost 1,900 in one day

In the State of Virginia Covid-19 cases went up by almost 1,900 in one day. That count from Monday, June 8 to Tuesday, June 9. The previous high day was about 7 weeks ago with over 800 cases.

In Botetourt, one week ago we had 4 active cases and 36 total. Today on the County website, there are 10 active cases and 43 total. The death toll remains at 4.

Please, wear your mask. Just because the state has relaxed and is opening up, it does not mean coronavirus is gone.

The VDH Roanoke City-Alleghany District launched their mask wearing campaign, ” I’ve got you covered” yesterday. There is science behind it.
