CAMS and LBHS win Red Ribbon Week Awards

The Roanoke Area Youth Substance Abuse Coalition (RAYSAC) and Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare were once again proud to sponsor the RED RIBBON WEEK (RRW) Celebration.

This campaign provided an opportunity for schools and communities to unite in order to raise awareness of alcohol and other drug abuse. This year’s theme was “Send a Message. Stay Drug Free.”.

Twenty area schools competed for one of six Red Ribbon Week awards.

The following schools were selected as winners:

ALL ABOARD AWARD: Cave Spring Middle School

MAKING A DIFFERENCE AWARD: Lord Botetourt High School

SHEDDING LIGHT AWARD: Glen Cove Elementary

OUTSIDE THE BOX AWARD: Central Academy Middle School

EYE CATCHING AWARD: Oak Grove Elementary

KATHY GRAHAM SULLIVAN SPIRIT OF RED RIBBON WEEK AWARD: Patrick Henry High School
