Bank of Botetourt announces employee promotions

Pamela “Pam” L. Harris has been promoted to Bank Secrecy Act and Fraud Officer. Pam has been in banking for sixteen years, all with Bank of Botetourt. She will be responsible for monitoring, investigating and reporting any known or suspected fraud activity as well as violations of BSA laws, rules or regulations involving the Bank and its customers. She will also coordinate and provide periodic training to all Bank personnel to ensure proper understanding of the purpose and procedures of these programs. Pam was born in Lexington, Virginia and currently resides in the Buchanan area with her husband Garrett and daughter Reagan. She is located at the Bank’s Buchanan Care Center Office.

Ginny M. Hicks has been promoted to Assistant Market Manager and will be located at the Buchanan Office. Ginny recently celebrated eight years with Bank of Botetourt. She began her banking career at the Bank as a floating teller and was most recently a branch manager. Prior to joining the Bank, she was a pharmacy technician for eighteen years. Ginny will work closely with Karen Newbill, who currently oversees the Buchanan, Eagle Rock and Natural Bridge Offices. She is a member of the Botetourt Character Counts! Leadership Council. Hicks was born in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, raised in Botetourt County and graduated from James River High School. She resides in the Eagle Rock area with her husband Jeff and son Dylan.


Stilissa “Lisa” D. Pledge has been promoted to Assistant Vice President – Loan Documentation and Compliance Manager and CRA Officer for the Bank. She is located at the Bank’s Troutville Loan Services Center. Lisa has been in the industry for over twenty-five years, with twelve of them being with Bank of Botetourt. She previously worked as a loan processor, closer and officer for the mortgage loan industry and is currently enrolled in the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management at the UVA Darden School of Business. Lisa will continue to be an instrumental part of the Bank’s compliance team as she begins her new role managing the loan documentation department. She is a lifelong resident of Roanoke and resides in the city with her husband George.


Paula E. Robins has been promoted to Branch Manager for the Bank’s Bonsack Office. She has over thirty-seven years of retail banking experience and has been the branch manager and community development officer at the Bank’s Peters Creek Office since it acquired the location. She is a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, a group of dedicated women donating their time to community programs and has been active in the area’s various chambers of commerce. Paula grew up in Salem and currently resides in Roanoke City with her husband Reggie.

Robin Z. Stultz has been promoted to Branch Manager at the Bank’s Peters Creek Office. She has been in the banking industry for over twenty-three years and previously worked at First Union/Wachovia and Bank of America/HomeTrust in various positions. Robin has her Associates degree from National Business College and a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado Technical University. She grew up in New Castle and currently resides in Salem with her husband James and two sons Jacob and Jordan.

Bank of Botetourt was chartered in 1899 and operates twelve retail offices in Botetourt, Rockbridge, Roanoke, and Franklin counties and the City of Salem, all in Virginia. Bank of Botetourt also operates a mortgage division, Virginia Mountain Mortgage and a financial services division, Botetourt Wealth Management.
