Chrome Books enhance 21st Century instruction

In the late winter of 2015, the first Chrome Books were distributed on the secondary level. Now four years later thaey intergral parts of instruction at James River and Lord Botetouer High Schools. The two high schools presented Chrome Book information to the School Board on Sept. 19

James River students Owen Marshall and Noah Aylor explained how the Chrome Books are used by even students with no internet at home in a video that feature students and teachers. ” They down load the info at school and take it home to work on it.”

Jordan Pinkard a teacher at JRHS, set the young men along with Zane Weidman on the journey of producing a film.

Over at Lord Botetourt Kate Givens along with her students Madeline and Kayley, produced a film from the same perspective at LBHS, a much larger school. Given’s said, ” The Chrome Books add info graphics and visual displays in the instructional day.”

The use of technology has increased the world of learning. It is a must for the secondary student in a world that relies on advancing computer technology.
