Smart Mouth Pizza takes LBHS cafeteria to a new foodie level

The BCPS School Nutrition program began a test on Smart Mouth Pizza as a new food offering in the Lord Botetourt cafeteria last Thursday. Guess what?
‘It’s a hit!
Sell outs two days in a row, so the students approve. “Smart Mouth Pizza is a personal pan pizza of several different varieties including the combo which is sausage and pepperoni,” said Miss Smart Mouth herself, the food service National training rep, Wanda Limon. she was bedecked in the trademark shirt and apron while working at LB.
Chris Morris, the director of school nutrition for Botetourt County Public Schools was pleased the pizza has moved so fast. She said, ” It ‘s exciting. It tastes better than any school pizza I have ever eaten in 23 years of doing school nutrition.” It comes as a meal plan offering with either carrot sticks or a side salad. Also an additional pizza can be purchased for $3.
“We plan to make it an offering at the other secondary schools as well,” she said.
A tasting of a Combo pizza provided three sets of two thumbs ups by adults, too and a text to a family member at school to be sure to try one for lunch. It seems Smart Mouth Pizza is a hit everywhere it goes!
