Fincastle Preschool has a lead teacher opening–apply now
Fincastle Preschool is currently hiring a new Lead Teacher. This part-time, 9 month salaried position is responsible for teaching our 4 year old program aimed at preparing our students for Kindergarten. Classes are Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Qualified candidates have the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience working with young children (preferably in a preschool setting),
- An Associates Degree in Child Development or a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field are preferred.
- We are looking for someone who can plan creative ways to develop Kindergarten Readiness skills through hands-on projects and play based learning opportunities.
- Lead Teachers must be able to write lesson plans that incorporate different aspects of early childhood development into our play based environment.
- Lead Teachers will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging learning environment/classroom community together with their Assistant Teacher.
