A new day in BCPS for Back to School

While the general public is not invited to the annual convocation for Botetourt County Public Schools faculty, Dr. Lisa Chen continues to make her mark in her first few months as school Superintendent. Teachers will be back and this is a new dawn under her administration.

From Botetourt County Administration’s Cody Sexton in PR:

“On Friday, August 2, at 8:30 a.m., the Botetourt County Public Schools will host its annual convocation. However, this year will be special for two reasons.”

“First, Dr. Lisa Chen, our new superintendent, will be welcoming teachers back to her first school year at the helm.”

“Second, she has invited a very special guest: Chic Thompson. Chic Thompson is an internationally renowned speaker and author on creativity. He has worked extensively for global corporations, including UTC, McGraw-Hill, Accenture, and the Young Presidents Organization. He has also worked with such U.S. government agencies as the CIA, the FBI, and NASA, and has helped schools develop stronger creative thinking skills.”
