Lord Botetourt holds band camp at Cloverdale Elementary School
The award winning Lord Botetourt Marching Cavaliers are hard at work from 8 am – 6 pm this week developing the fall season show. The camp has been held at Cloverdale Elementary School. Band boosters are hard at work on props in the school back parking lot as well.
104 band members are bonding and prepping for not only half time shows, but five competitions including the one they host.
Chris Caldwell, the band director said. “This will be a very different show this year. The music is from the Maori Tribe in New Zealand including Haka chant. The show is called ” War Chant.” The band practiced marching to a beat without their instruments getting their steps in sync.
With the cool nights recently, the hint of football games and halftime shows by the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers is in the air!
Go Cavs!
