BTEC building bids due by June 21

BTEC utility building.

The BTEC Building Trades Students have constructed a utility building that is offered for sale through sealed bid. The structure is a 10 x 12 wood frame building that has the following:

A. 6×6 pressure treated Beams
B. 2×6 pressure treated floor joist
C. ¾ “ Advantec floor sheathing
D. 2×4 walls framed on 16” centers
E. ½” exterior sheathing
F. 2×4 rafters and ceiling joist
G. 1×6 purlin roof sheathing
H. Galvalume metal ribbed roofing
I. 5 ft. steel outswing door
J. 2 – 18”x24” windows and flower boxes
K. Vinyl siding and aluminum trim

This building was constructed by students at BTEC to be sold as a fundraiser. BTEC will be taking sealed bids for the building up until June 21, 2019. The building will need to be picked up at the school by the purchaser. There will be a minimum bid of $1800 for the materials cost. The building can be seen at the school between the hours of 8:30 and 3:30 on June 9, 2019 through the bidding process. Bids will need to be received at the school on or before June 21, 2019 and will be opened on Monday 9:00 AM June 24, 2019. The building needs to be paid for with in three days after winner notification and removed within 14 days after the bid opening or arrangements need to be made with the school system. You may call the BTEC at 540-473-8216 to make sure there is someone there to allow you in to view the building. Bids need to be sent to the school:
