Jeff Stritesky makes final statement as primary nears for Republican Sheriff candidate
These last six months on the campaign trail have been full of adventure. When I began my campaign, Sheriff Sprinkle offered a few keen words of advice. From that day forward when I entered the office, the Sheriff would ask me “Has anyone cussed you out yet?”, to which I reply “Not yet…” In fact, I started to wonder if I was doing something wrong.
What I quickly learned is that Botetourt County has some of the finest citizens to be found. Our community has shown overwhelming support. From the public events and forums hosted by the republican committee and various civic groups to the families who have answered the over 2,500 doors I’ve knocked on, I’ve been met with a warm reception each and every time. As your sheriff, I will offer the same hospitality and open door that you, the citizens of Botetourt County, have so graciously shown to me.
I encourage you to demonstrate your constitutional right to vote on Tuesday June 11th at your local precinct. I pledge as your sheriff to lead the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office with honesty, integrity, and transparency. I would appreciate your vote and support as we enter the next phase of the sheriff’s race.
For those that are still wondering – yes, one resident finally let me have it. The next day I had “good” news to report to the Sheriff.
Sincerely,
Jeff Stritesky
