136 James River High School seniors graduated May 21
A football stadium with home bleachers, hillsides and lawns filled with well wishers awaited as JRHS graduated on a cool Springwood evening, May 21.
The students heard the same speech delivered to LBHS the previous eve, from retiring school superintendent John Busher. It was his last school speech. Salutatorian Ian DeHaven used the back drop of Billy Joel and New York for his speech. Valedictorian Emma Butler thanked all of the people through out school years instrumental to getting the Class of 2019 to the end of their childhoods and public education.
The world awaits the Class of 2019. Go Knights! We have a video on FB with the march to the field of all 136!
