Lord Botetourt graduated 231 students from high school on Mon. May 20 at the Salem Civic Center. Hannah Harris is this year’s Valedictorian and Jenna Alam, the Salutatorian. After remarks from John Busher who is retiring as school superintendent, Andy Dewease, principal, Harris took the podium. She used “If” by Rudyard Kipling and “Eat, Pray Love”by Elizabeth Gilbert for the inspirational basis of her speech. After a few brief words from Alam, it was on to handshakes and diplomas. And now, it is into their own wonderful lives.
