Career Fair set at DSLCC on Apr. 18

A Career Fair for job-seekers as well as employers will be held on Thursday, April 18, from 11 am to 4 pm in Moomaw Center on the Clifton Forge campus of Dabney S. Lancaster Community College.

The event is being hosted by DSLCC’s Career Services, the Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation, the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Virginia Career Works – Blue Ridge Region.

“With the theme of ‘Fishing for the Best Employee,’ we want to highlight best practices for employers and encourage engagement between employers and prospective employees,” said Marsha Keyser, DSLCC Career Coach.

In addition to local businesses participating, job-seekers will be treated to a “Dress for Success” fashion show and an interview skit. Also, assistance with resumes will be offered on site.

Area businesses and job-seekers are asked to register online at www.dslcc.edu.
