Botetourt 250th Anniversary logo winner announced

A Botetourt County 250th Anniversary logo design contest was held in February with all the local public school and home-schooled
students.

The winner of this contest was Lauren Rakes, a junior at
Lord Botetourt Hugh School and daughter of Mike and Kathi Rakes.
Lauren’s design was selected from 183 entries by judges and local
artists Teresa Reed, Hazel Bowers, and Mark Woodie.

The Bank of Fincastle graciously offered a prize of $250 for the winning entry

This logo design will appear in many places during the year 2020.
