Fire station survey continues as noted by Fire and EMS
Fincastle, VA — The Department of Fire & EMS is excited to announce the public input phase of the Fire & EMS Station Study. The department has been working with BIRCHbark Strategic Planning Consultants out of Albemarle County, Virginia on the study since Fall 2018. This study was initiated to evaluate the County’s fire and EMS response services. The next phase of the study involves public input in two forms.
First, there is currently a public input survey that is available for anyone to provide input on the fire and EMS system. This survey will be active through the end of February and can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BotetourtCounty
Second, there will be a public input session on Monday, February 25, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be a timed presentation at 6:30 p.m. This session will be held at the Greenfield Education and Training Center, 57 S. Center Drive, Dalevile, VA 24083. This will be the last step in the process for the team from BIRCHbark to gather information prior to final development of the study findings.
“It is vitally important to gather input from the community as part of this process,” said Troutville Volunteer Fire Chief Zach Beckner.
