Toys 4 Bot-E-Tots will bring Christmas Joy

Lawrenece workers plus, Sydney Wright, Logan Bingeman, Lara Bingeman, Chris Peery, Tina Underwood, Nellie Ward and Susan Ayers and a truck full of donations.

From Nellie Ward one of the key components in the annual Toys 4 Bot E Tots campaign.

They toys have been distributed and await the squeals of joy on Christmas morning thanks to the generosity of many and hard work to make the toy campaign a success by Ward and her volunteers.

Ward  said, “We collected 3000 toys and provided for 46 Angels.   We had 16 bikes.  There were a total of 300 Angels this year.  Lawrence Transfer sent a truck and two employees to collect what we had at Central Academy. Pizza Hut in Daleville sent general manager, Tina Underwood and Chris Peery to help load the truck along with several CAMs staff.  We filled the truck and bikes had to be transported by pickup truck.   Botetourt 4H donated several hundred books to be distributed to the Angels.  With the big snow we were scrambling to provide for the last few Angels left on the trees. In the 17 years we have been doing this we have never had bad weather.  Thanks to all who donated and worked at the different events to make this year a success.”

Botetourt thanks Ward and all of those who donated. Merry Christmas!
