CAMS art students have made nice additions to school environment

The Art classes at Central Academy have been busy. Earlier in the semester Art teacher Courtney May sketched an icon of a Patriot the namesake moniker of the school. The students outlined the sketch, then painted it.

It is 10 feet high and 18 feet wide and is painted on the wall of the school. Mrs. May said, “This was originally designed by Isaac Bell now a student at JRHS.”  The mural is painted in CAMS colors, red, white and blue! It is a nice greeting as students and visitors come into the lobby.

Not only is the building more welcoming, the art classes continued. Out by the fence to the football field and track there is something new.

That is where the CAMS football team played to a perfect season finishing undefeated for the first time in 37 years! Go Patriots! At the entry gate, the art students painted pavers and spelled out Patriots. Certainly, that has been an encouragement to all who attended outdoor athletic events.

A big Huzzah to the artists at CAMS.
