New Community Project at Trinity COB on Mon. Oct. 15
Trinity Church Hosts New Community Project Potluck and Forum
Bring a dish and come at 6:30pm Monday Oct. 15th to hear about a small organization with a big goal – to change the world by changing the way we relate to the planet and its people. New Community Project is directed by David Radcliff who is based in Blue Ridge, Va. He travels widely around the U.S. doing presentations in schools, congregations, youth events, community settings, and regional and national gatherings. His areas of emphasis are living responsibly with the earth, living respectfully and justly with our neighbors, and generally confronting the culture of consumption for our own spiritual health and for the good of the planet, its people and coming generations. David is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School, Bridgewater College and Bethany Seminary; teaches courses at Elizabethtown College in the areas of globalization, environmental care, and poverty and hunger; leads Learning Tours to the Arctic, Amazon, Nepal, Burma, Sudan, and Central America; received the 2008 West/Whitelow Humanitarian Award from Bridgewater College; and has traded in his car for a bicycle. New Community Project offers resources that challenge us, experiences that change us and a community that gives us hope. Join us for a challenging quest that can change our world! Trinity Church of the Brethren is located at 5088 Roanoke Rd. on Route 220N between Daleville and Fincastle beside the VFW.
