Photo: A grasshopper in September

Haylee Marie Corvin took this great pic of which she describes as, ” This cool little dude flew onto my windshield today.” She was in Cloverdale at the time.

Indeed while grasshoppers flit from grassblade to windshield, some place below ants are storing up food for winter.
