Bears, again!

Bears seem to be on the move around Botetourt. We have three photos here. One from Anita Firebaugh of a small bear and 2 den pics from Cathy Benson.

The den is clawed out of rocks where a small cave opening is seen. The area is pretty much devoid of plants and grass. Bear scat is evident around the cave  environs. There is one large bear and two medium size bears often seen in the Benson’s driveway. No telling if any of them live in the den here, because no one stuck around to find out!

Firebaugh described their bear encounter, “This little bear stood at the back door while we began eating our hamburgers on Labor Day. Then it circled around the house and disappeared.”
