Senior Citizen Day is Aug 23 at Catawba Valley Farmer’s Market

Thursday, August 23 – Senior Citizens Day at Catawba Valley Farmers Market, 3:30 to 7:00 p.m.  The Farmers Market will move to the Catawba Methodist Church parking lot for Thursday only.  This location is just across the road from the usual location, at 4962 Catawba Creek Road, Catawba, VA 24070.

In addition to farmers market vendors and their food & craft items, representatives from agencies and businesses of interest to seniors will be present.  Those expected include Our Health magazine, insurance agents, home health care, Extension Service, etc.  No hot dogs will be offered, but there will be drawings for vendor gift certificates.  Also Homestead Creamery will be on site, selling their delicious ice cream.
