As the family grew and dispersed, the farm went dormant. In early 2010, the family decided that the farm had been dormant for too long and since they all shared a passion and interest in vineyards and wineries in Virginia, Stoney Brook Vineyards was brought to life in 2012. To date, Stoney Brook is a working vineyard and winery with four and ½ acres planted grapes consisting of Petit Manseng, Petit Verdot, Viognier and Cabernet Franc in the ground. All their fruit is carefully crafted into delicious red, white, and rose’ wines.  The vineyard won a silver medal in the 2020 VA Governors Cup for  Back Porch Red and their Rose. And Stoney Brook Vineyards also won a silver medal in the 2021 VA Governor’s Cup for Cabernet Franc.  For more information visit https://stoneybrookvineyards.com or on their Facebook page.
