VDOT explains Botetourt Roads in the 6 year plan

Eleven roads made the cut for Botetourt County’s six year secondary road system plan after the Board of Supervisors held a public hearing in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Transportation. The public hearing took place that May 24, 2022 monthly meeting of the Board. No one from the public spoke. The Supervisors unanimously approved the plan.

The roads in line for funding over the next six years are Stone Coal Road (a project that is near completion), Prices Bluff Road, Murray Drive, Back Creek Lane, Stevens Road, Ball Park Road, Clydes Run Road, Mountain Valley Road, Laymantown Road, Fringer Trail, and Roy Road.

Each project should cost over $500,000, and the money would be allocated through Fiscal Year 2028.
