Twenty 24 Junior Cyclists hosted by VBR at Camp Bethel
VBR TWENTY24, a diverse team of female professional and junior cyclists, is returning for more training in preparation for a year of national competitions. Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge (VBR) and Botetourt County welcome VBR TWENTY24 juniors to Camp Bethel. Eight girls ranging in age from 15 – 18 will be training, preparing for upcoming races and experiencing the area. Some of the cyclists include:
Maize Wimbush (15-16) – First African American Junior Female to win a National Road Championship Title and is setting her sights on the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.
Amanda Coker – An American ultra-cyclist and current world record holder for distance in the number of miles ridden in a year – 86,573 miles. (averaging 237 miles a day) She holds multiple world records.
Homare Yamashita (15-16) – Asian / American – Junior National track champion
