Graff and Williams from JRHS participated in All District Band

Congratulations to Iain Graff and Macy Williams for attending Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association All-District Band this weekend representing James River High School. 
This year All-District was held at Cave Spring High School. Macy, a junior, earned the place of 4th chair Concert band Alto Saxophone and Iain, a senior,, was 2nd chair Symphonic band for Euphonium.
Because Iain got 2nd chair in Symphonic Band in the district, he is invited to compete at the state level.  He is the first band student from JRHS to be invited to compete for this honor of All-State in at least 30 years from what we are told. Thanks to Kevin A. English for guiding,  cheering and pushing Iain, Macy and all his students to work hard and aim high.
