Fire alarm at LBHS was not a fire

Many contacted us about the scene at LBHS yard and paring lot in early afternoon yesterday

Lord Botetourt High School Briefly Evacuated Due to Smoke Alarm
DALEVILLE, Va. —
Earlier the afternoon of Feb. 2, 2022 a smoke detector sounded at Lord Botetourt High School, requiring
students and staff to evacuate the building. Botetourt County Fire & EMS quickly arrived on
scene to assess the situation, after which students and staff were cleared to re-enter the building.
School administration adjusted the schedule for the remainder of the day.
