Supervisors Meeting additional info items

The Board of Supervisors agreed to pay nearly $600,000 to complete Shooting Star Way, the road to the new Munters facility in the Botetourt Center at Greenfield. Construction on the building is currently underway.

The Board also learned that construction at the Botetourt County Administration Building to accommodate the needs of Virginia Western Community College would cost $3.1 million. These funds would go through the county’s Economic Development Authority and the item required no action from the Board.

The supervisors also approved a new position in the Office of the County Registrar at the request of County Registrar Traci Clark, who said increased voting times as well as public scrutiny and Freedom of Information Requests had created the need for additional personnel.
