Colonial Elementary Ribbon Cutting
Colonial Elementary School is the first new school built in Botetourt County since Greenfield in the 1990s. The old Colonial School was over 78 years old. On Wednesday March 10, the Botetourt Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting event. Colonial and Greenfield are the two largest Elementary Schools in Botetourt County.
The school cost over 25 million dollars and is state of the art. Most of the furnishings were moved from the old school.
Local dignitaries, students and faculty and staff celebrated the big day! Classes have been in the building for almost a month and all is happy and great!
