New Freedom Farm hosts birthday for teen with incurable disease

On Saturday, a young girl had a special birthday surprise.

Olivia is the granddaughter of a Vietnam veteran and has an incurable disease called Fanconi Anemia which results in her spending most of her time in isolation.

Saturday afternoon, though, Olivia was met by dozens in the community for a special 13th birthday celebration held at New Freedom Farm.

“Olivia has come to New Freedom Farm to volunteer and when her mother put a post on Facebook that they were isolating due to her incurable disease, I just decided it would be something fun to do to have her celebrate her birthday here at the farm.”
