Farm Credit sponsors field to table event on Oct. 15 at Jeter Farm
Farm Credit Sponsors Botetourt Farm-to-Table Lunch and Networking
Farm Credit of the Virginias, in partnership with Old Republic Title and Botetourt Chamber of Commerce, are pleased to announce a Farm-to- Table Lunch and Learn event open to all those involved or interested in agriculture on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at 11:30 AM.
Members of the Botetourt Agricultural Committee along with Ag and Natural Resources Extension Agent, Kate Lawrence and 4-H Extension Agent, Tyler Painter will facilitate discussion on current and future programming goals and opportunities involving agriculture in Botetourt County, Virginia. The Botetourt Chamber of Commerce plans to discuss how they can assist the community with their agricultural interests. Dialog will also include youth opportunities through the county 4-H and FFA programming. The event is open to all Botetourt citizens interested in the local agriculture industry.
The Lunch and Learn event will begin at 11:30 AM with time allocated to networking followed by lunch at noon. Lunch will feature foods locally produced in Botetourt County and prepared by local restaurants. The event will be held at Jeter Farm located at 181 Blue Ridge Blvd., Roanoke, VA.
The cost is $20 for Chamber of Commerce members and $25 for non-members. Payment is required prior to the event. The in-person event will abide by published CDC guidelines as they pertain to COVID 19 to include social distancing, the wearing of masks and individually packaged lunches. Masks will be made available.
