County Administration Offices to close March 17 through March 30

The world is currently reacting to the rapid spread of a viral infection known as COVID-19, or coronavirus. Locally, Botetourt County officials have also been monitoring this situation for some time, trying to analyze credible information sources and determine the probability of risk to the County and its citizens and visitors.

As a result, out of an abundance of caution, the Botetourt County administrative offices will be closed to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020, and will anticipate reopening on Monday, March 30, 2020, due to public health concerns with COVID-19. Essential landfill, maintenance, custodial, central garage, and inspection staff and public safety personnel will remain in place during the closure.

Non-essential staff will be working remotely. We will be reassessing the situation on a continual basis and will provide additional information as appropriate. Employees of the Constitutional Officers, Courts, and Social Services may follow different guidlines.
