Buchanan, VA, March 3, 2020 — Rosa Lowe, CBCM Systems Administrator, Cyber Security Officer with Bank of Botetourt earned the Certified Banking Cybersecurity Manager (CBCM) credential through the SBS Institute.  Rosa has over twenty-five years of experience in the banking industry. She has her Associate Degree in Accounting from American National University and is currently working on her BA in Cybersecurity at Liberty University. Rosa joins a growing community of financial service professionals showing their commitment to strong cybersecurity practices with a cyber-specific certification.

The CBCM designation acknowledges licensing professionals who have demonstrated their experience and proficiency in conducting a complete assessment to better defend against cybersecurity threats.  It is built on internationally applicable standards of practice, knowledge, and ethics to differentiate licensing professionals who have taken the steps necessary to become certified.

The SBS Institute is uniquely designed to serve the banking industry.  SBS Institute provides industry-specific cyber education that will prepare students and their financial institution for cybersecurity threats and regulations.  The CBSM course includes a series of lectures, assignments and a final exam with 100 questions on subject areas including security and technology trends, laws and regulations, information security programs, risk assessments, operationalizing security, and audits.
