WVWA making the flow of water easier

Western Virginia Water Authority is working in the Greenfield area to make the water flow from water tanks, perhaps a county well and Carvins Cove a little smoother.

On Feb. 13, the WVWA asked the school board for some use of the Greenfield Elementary School grounds for a temporay storage of pipe as they drill to get new pipe laid for water transmission. The red line determines the pipe from the Cul de Sac on Hollymeade Lane off Glebe Rd.

This event has been noted for weeks that there might be traffic stops on Glebe Road in the VDOT Road Watch. On Feb. 18, they were flagging traffic.

The map above shows how the Cul de Sac is being used for pipe laying to complete this project.

A detailed description from Ian Smith of WVWA that he and his team provided for The Botetourt County School Board, provided this information.
