DSLCC Roadrunners Host “Youth Sports Day” December 14

DSLCC

Dabney S. Lancaster Community College will host a “Youth Sports Day” during its home men’s basketball game on Saturday, December 14.  Tip-off is scheduled for 3 pm and doors will open at 2 pm. The game will be played in the DSLCC Convocation Center, located on the College’s main campus in Clifton Forge.

Children wearing their local youth sports jersey will be admitted at no charge, says Joe Hagy, DSLCC’s Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Student Services. “Youth in our area that play any sport- not just basketball- can wear their jersey or uniform on December 14 and get in free,” says Hagy. “This is a big game for DSLCC and we want to pack the stands to support our Roadrunners!”

DSLCC will play Sandhills Community College (Pinehurst, NC), currently ranked number 2 in the country in NJCAA’s Division III. The Roadrunners lost a hard-fought game to the Flyers earlier in the season.
