Bank of Fincastle Fall 5K-10K every one is a winner!

They run like champs, some faster than others, but everyone that finishes the race is a personal winner. The Bank of Fincastle annual Fall 5K-10 K race took place on Oct. 19. The Town of Fincastle shuts down for a couple of hours as hundreds of kids, parents, and of course, actual runners take the route from Central Academy Middle School through Fincastle through the Godwin Cemetary and return to CAMS for ceremonies.

Many hands have made this event a success for several decades. More elementary students get together with parents, teachers and administrators to complete the event than any other gathering of said through out the year!

10K winners: Women– Cynthia Ketron, 1st, Samantha Wilkinson 2nd, Brittany Crigler 3rd. Men 10k winners, Will Gaul, II 1st, William Smth 2nd, Brent Carter 3rd.

5K winners Women Kate Spradlin 1st, Jessica Link 2nd and Elizabthe Smith 3rd (Not pictured) Men– Camden Powell 1st, Isaac Bell 2nd and Sam Worsley 3rd,

Troutville Elementary won most runners for elementary and best participation.
