Drug Take Back Day is Oct. 26 at Botetourt Commons and Ransone’s Drug store lot

A drug-take-back day will take place on Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Simply bring medications (no needles, please) to the event where the drugs will be safely collected and then destroyed by local law enforcement and DEA agents.

In Botetourt County, you can turn in unused or expired medications for safe disposal at Kroger in Daleville and at Ransone’s Drug store in Buchanan..

Twice per year the DEA sponsors the take back along with the BPC, Sheriff’s Dept and Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare assistance in Botetourt County.
