Aaron Lyles announces for Valley district School Board seat

Aaron Lyles seeks the Valley District School Board seat.

AARON LYLES TO SEEK VALLEY SEAT ON BOTETOURT SCHOOL BOARD

I am proud to announce my candidacy for the Valley district seat on the Botetourt County School Board. I am a life-long resident of the Roanoke Valley, graduating from William Byrd High School in Vinton, moving to Botetourt County in January of 2013. Having previously served on the Roanoke Valley Greenways Commission and having also represented Roanoke County on the Blue Ridge Soil and Water Conservation District, I am no stranger to public service.

My wife Charlene, is a Lord Botetourt graduate, and we attend Glade Creek Baptist Church in Blue Ridge. I am a licensed insurance agent with Family Heritage Life, and my wife and I also run a small consulting firm. I look forward to representing the citizens of the Valley District on the School Board, and being an advocate for our students, parents, teachers, and administration.

I pledge to being accessible, open and transparent on the issues that matter to the citizens most, and working with the other board members, and our counterparts on the Board of Supervisors. I pledge to be a voice of reason, fiscal responsibility, and holding other elected officials accountable when it comes to spending your tax dollars. I will work with our General Assembly leaders to make sure that they remember Botetourt County and our education needs. I will fight to make sure that our children are safe, and have access to the best education, and vocational training to ensure that when they receive their diploma, they are equipped to earn their college degree, or enter a successful trade.

To learn about my ideas, please find our Facebook page, Aaron Lyles for School Board, or contact me at aaronblyles@gmail.com A website will be coming soon. I will be sharing my vision for Botetourt on Tuesday, May 28th at 6:30 P.M, with a venue to be announced on our Facebook page. I look forward to meeting you as I knock on doors, and I ask for your support, and your vote on November 5th.
