LBHS FFA reads at Troutville Elementary

Members of the Lord Botetourt High School FFA spent the morning of March 20th, reading to the students of Troutville Elementary. The Book that they read was donated by the Farm Bureau Women’s Committee entitled “Right This Very Minute” a book about where our food comes from. It goes into detail about all of the people and all of the work that goes into food production.

After the members had read to all of the classes they presented the book to Ms. Young the school librarian to be made available in the library for future students to check out and read.

This is a great opportunity because it gives members a chance to engage in the younger generation and teach them about everything that goes into producing the food that they eat.
