Sheriff’s Republican Candidate will be decided by a primary

The Botetourt Republican Committee has decided to hold a general primary to select the Sheriff’s candidate. The primary will be June 11. Any registered voter can vote.

All three candidates agreed to the primary. Two forums will be held by the committee for the candidates to present views. The first will be March 23 St. Marks UMC in Daleville at 2 P.M the second will e April 6 at Mill Creek Baptist Church time TBA.

Citizens will vote at their regular polling sites on June 11.

The three Republican candidates are Matt Ward, Mike Vineyard and Jeff Stritesky.
