Bahama Mamas entertained for fundraiser at Church of the Transfiguration
Ryan’s Cases for Smiles held a fundraiser at the Church of the Transfiguration in late September. Several hundred dollars were raised for the organization that makes pillowcases for the Children who come to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
A local steel drum group made up of women, The Bahama Mamas, performed a concert in the church sanctuary prior to an ice cream social fundraiser for the worthy charity.
About 75 people were in attendance and many pints of Homestead ice cream were consumed.
